Organic Aroeira Honey Liquid Candy (3 units) — Immune Support Travel Pack

As a distance runner, I got these for pre-run energy that wouldn't give me cramps while running. So far I have used them for an intense day of speed intervals (1 mile warm up + 5x600m at 8:20/mi + 5x200m at 7:55/mi + 1 mile cool down) and also a long 6.5 mile run, and hit my targets in both. Granted, I can't be sure how much of that I can attribute to the honey packets, but I didn't bonk in either of those (rough) workouts, so I'll take that as a win. A note on price: At first I balked at the cost, which is considerably more per ounce than other competing energy packets, but then I looked at the ingredients of the competitors: All of them have either tapioca, fructose syrup, or other sweetened fillers in them. This is 100% pure organic honey. For taste, the flavor is dark, rich, and delicious, with small crystals of honey in it. I like that the packets are lightweight, portable, and easy to open (just bend and rip) in case I want to have one on the run, as opposed to pre-gamed. I also like that the packaging is recyclable. Overall, yes it's pricey, but that's the price of purity. I'll take that over processed goop any day.

This is really good but comes at a greater than $6 per ounce cost. I know it’s exclusive and really good, and that’s why it still get a 4 star rating. But I’ve had really good honey (manuka and other types) for significantly less - and yes others are more expensive.Pros:- taste- small and portable size. Keeps each half ounce very fresh.- easy to tear with hand to use immediately, no knife or scissors needed.- comes out smooth (see pictures)- the stickiness and texture feel just rightNeutral:- 3 half ounce packets are not much:- at over $6 per ounce it is a premium priced product. It is delicious though.Overall this is a premium product at a premium price. 4 stars, recommended!

K&A Honey Aroeira Honey comes in a packet with 3 smaller packets in it. Each smaller packets of honey is 15ml which is about 1 tablespoon. The honey is very smooth, full flavored, somewhat thick and sweet. The honey did have some crystallization, but it still squeezable out of the packet. It does taste so much better than smuckers honey, and on par with my local honey. I tried it as is and the honey is really good. I added it to my Greek yougurt since I don't l like the tartness and the honey helped mellow out the tartness. Honestly, this honey is really really good. Unforutnately, the price point around 10 dollars is a tad expensive for 3 table spoon of honey, but it does come in a convenient portable individually packs for of honey making the price somewhat worth it.

If you've ever wanted to carry honey with you without dealing with a sticky, leaking bottle, this solves that problem. Each packet is 15ml, which is basically one tablespoon, and that's honestly the perfect amount for most uses. One packet, one use, done.The honey itself is the real standout though. It's rich and full-flavored, not watered-down or overly sweet like some honey can be. A single tablespoon is plenty, whether you're adding it to tea, spreading it on something, or just taking it straight.The only small gripe is that three packets goes fast if you use honey regularly. But for portability and portion control, it's hard to beat.

Half a teaspoon of this is just right for my morning wheat berries. This honey is sweet with a complex taste structure that is miles beyond whatever is in the little plastic grocery store bears. The packaging indicates the product is made in the USA but sourced in Brazil. I like Aroeira honey more than Manuka, and it's nice to have a source of 100% raw Aroeira. There's no question this is not inexpensive. For your payment, you'll receive three packets, each holding half an ounce of honey. For my purposes, simply adding some to my breakfast, the entire package is about a one week supply. The product is fresh, of high quality, and is fairly thick at room temperature. Each packet, once opened, is easy to use but remains open so will need to be used fairly quickly.

This is definitely not the light, extra-sweet kind of honey most people are used to buying at the grocery store. It is darker, thicker, and has a richer flavor that feels a little more interesting and less one-note. I liked that it tasted high quality and not diluted, and it worked well both straight from the packet and stirred into tea. I could also see it being nice on toast or paired with something savory like cheese since it has a deeper flavor than standard clover honey.The single-serve size is convenient for travel, lunch bags, or keeping on hand when you want honey without the usual sticky bottle mess. This was my first experience with Aroeira honey so I had to do a little research on it and it is supposed to have more polyphenols (antioxidant compounds) than other types of honey due to properties of the trees that the bees pollinate. The honey itself is very tasty. It is thick and dark, but clear. It comes in foil-lined paper packets which are easy to tear the top off of and squeeze out. Each packet is a generous serving that either can be used on something like an English muffin or in tea (I used mine in tea). Unlike Manuka honey, which is a healthy honey with a medicinal or herbal taste, this is just have a pleasant pure honey taste.As a sweetener alone, this is on the premium side price-wise. As compared to other premium honey options with superior nutritional benefits, it is of average value for money. The convenience factor for this is very high though. If you want something which isn't messy or you can travel with, the packets are great to work with.

I love honey. From pouring it on corn bread to just taking a spoonful straight for the jar, I’ll eat it on most things. I had never had Aroeira honey before. Compared to my store bought honey I’d say the color is pretty similar, maybe a bit darker. The viscosity just like other honey’s, but I did detect small crystals in it. At first I wasn’t sure what to think. Was I eating insect wings? It eventually dawned on me that it was small crystallization. Trying to describe Aroeira honey is a difficult task. The flavor is obviously honey, but it’s not quite as sweet and it almost has a spiciness to it. It’s not spicy hot, it just has an extra su’btle zing’ to it that you won’t find in the store bought stuff.While I love honey, I wouldn’t consider myself a connoisseur. I think the traditional stuff suites me just fine. However, these little pouches would be great to take on a backpacking trip to give you an extra boost. From what I read Aroeira gives a more gradual energy release which is more ideal for sustained energy rather than a rapid glucose spike.Don’t buy this for your peanut butter sandwich. Do buy it if you specifically want the health benefits.
